Tracey started her canine career in 1997 with her
German Shepherd Dog Jessie. After many years of competitive
obedience work earning both KUSA and Club qualifications, she was
introduced to the discipline of agility and dog jumping. She
competes in top grades nationally with her different dogs.
Through K9 training Centre Tracey was able to
grow her learning to include working trials, tracking and protection
work. She is an active instructor with the club and offers
assistance regarding the teaching of obedience classes to novice
handlers.
Tracey
studied Ethology under Professional Odendaal in 2000 and has
completed many local instructor training programmes. She prides
herself in researching canine learning trends internationally and
highly recommends clicker training and positive reinforcement in her
training methodology.
She started "PuppyLand" a training school
specialising in the development and foundation training of all breed
of puppies. "PuppyLand" is affiliated to K9 training centre and
K.A.D (Kyalami Academy for dogs). Classes are appropriate for social
as well as competitive handlers.
