Gia has been passionate about animals her entire life and is particularly passionate about the bond between humans and their dogs.

She started her mentorship six years ago with Elwyn Pelzer - one of the foremost animal behaviour consultants in South Africa and the founder of the South African Police Services animal training unit.

Dog Handling Techniques was founded in 1994 and is dedicated to offering training that is fun for both the human and the dog.

Gia believes dog training is an important part of any dog's life and improves character, confidence and stability. It is vital in helping the dog to adapt to the role it has to play as part of the family.

Gia trains out of the Lonehill Park and offers fun social classes on both Saturday and Sunday, from puppy training to advanced classes

Gia is a member of the Animal Behaviour Consultants (ABC) of SA and also does volunteer work at the SPCA.
