	Candi has been keeping dogs all her life and currently has four dogs, a border collie, border collie cross, cross breed and Labrador who she trains in agility, working trials and puppy group. She has completed her Canine Culture Obedience Instructor course, with merit, as presented by Shannon McKay and has also completed a puppy instructor course and a clicker course presented by Eugenie Chopin. In 2007 Candi commenced her TTouch studies and has attained her Practitioner-in-Training status for companion animals. She is currently continuing with her TTouch studies as well as a course in dog behaviour through the Ethology Academy.
	After assisting and instructing in various classes around Johannesburg she saw a need for classes in her area, specifically to address the needs of owners in a fairly dense urban environment, and started Furbabies training classses from her home in June 2008. Candi is a firm believer in working with the dog and showing him or her what sort of behaviour we do want, rather than punishing behaviour we don't like and not presenting opportunities for the dog to make us happy. She is devoted to helping keep dogs in homes using proper early socialisation and training and by encouraging owner education.
